Fashion, Ugly 80's Eyewear, & Goldfrapp
I'm not a religious follower of fashion, but I certainly notice trends. The past few years, we've seen a rise in 80's inspired clothes and I wonder if the picture above is the peak of this trend. The picture is of a girl in Paris and was recently taken by the sartorialist.
Before I left Chicago, I noticed a young hipster couple at Target dressed like that--I immediately thought they must have raided their parent's closet. I just don't understand this look, especially the glasses. Having lived through this trend the first time around, I never thought it would come back.
Well to my surprise, hipster group Goldfrapp has featured the same ugly glasses in their new video. 
You may have missed the glasses as the guy in white in the background hops throughout the entire video. It's forking brilliant!

The Daily Chuckle: Shaun Majumder Interprets Shampoo Commercials
Ok check it. Like this is like so deja vu! So just today I was thinking how one of my fantasy's is to star in my very own shampoo commercial. Like the kind where beautiful white women have silky blond "Asian-type" hair and they are flaunting it in YOUR face! You know the type. I would LOVE to be one of those hot sluts and just flaunt my sexy hair for the camera. But I need two things for that fantasy to come true: 1. Hair on my bald-ass head 2. Sex change. Oh I forgot--white parents also!!
Ok back to the story. So I was just dreaming how awesome my hair commercial would be when I came across this hysterical and cute comic Shaun Majumder on the television today. So I immediately googled him and came across this sketch he did mocking shampoo commercials. There is a deeper message here, there just has to be. God speaks to us in mysterious ways.

A Muxtape For You!
That's correct--a muxtape for you! Click here to check out my muxtape--click on a song to listen to it. Muxtape is a simple way to create and share mp3 mixtapes. I spent most of the 90's making mixtapes for friends. I would religiously put a playlist together. Then I would attach an artsy picture inside the tape cover and write something seemingly profound on it. It was kind of a big deal and I haven't made one in quite a few years. Maybe this site marks a revival for mixtapes.
